This year’s Iron Horse was a small Run with only eight very lekker people, namely, young Len and Dawn Latham aboard their BMW 1200 RS, buxom Lee-Anne Jones on her BMW 1200ST, smoking-Joe Basil Carolis on his BMW 1200S, gentleman Paul Horwel on his Yamaha 1000 Fazer, neat Daryl Graham on his BMW 800S, Yamaha-befok Dennis Schultz on one of his Yamaha YZF-R1s, and me, keen Kenn on my BMW GT.
After meeting at Ultra City in Middleburg, we rode to the Anvil Ale House and Brew Pub in Dullstroom for a taste of their different brews.

Sunday we bid each other farewell and hit the road home, half of us riding over Long Tom again, while the rest of us rode to the N4, up past Waterval Boven to all meet again at Middleburg, where the Pretoria and Joburg guys split our separate ways.
The 2013 Iron Horse proved to be a very nice weekend, with perfect weather and absolutely great people.
We’ll do it again next year… our 20th and last J
