Joburg to Durban Run

For this year's Joburg to Durban Run we met for breakfast at Vaal Star Stop (Villiers), departed 9.30am, stopped for petrol at Monte Vista Star Stop (Harrismith), Estcourt Ultra City and Cato One Stop. After Mariannhill toll plaza we took the N2 highway towards Stanger, turning off at the Umdloti off-ramp and then to the La Mercy Beach Hotel. Where we were be met by the most welcoming people on the South African East Coast, Ronnie Govender, Annie, Gannie, the La Mercy Beach Hotel staff, with welcoming drinks, compliments of Seelan Moodley and SA Breweries.

My favourite place - Umdloti, on one of my favourite bikes - an "R" series BMW.

We, the "Redline Bulls" took on the "Harley Sharks" in our first "Redline Challenge".

On Saturday morning we rode to Gateway Center in Umhlanga Rocks, for the Redline Adventure Challenge, which we did in conjunction with the 180 Degree guys. Challenges included climbing The Rock, Nissan 4X4 driving, surfing in the Wave-House, tenpin bowling,  action karting and slot-car racing.
